Best tourist visit of our holiday

点评：We didn’t expect our visit here to take that long but how wrong we were. This was our favourite tourist visit of our holiday, and represented superb value for money. We were greeted by a very knowledgeable, engaging and funny guide, who immediately clocked where we were from and tailored his talk accordingly. The tour began with a short film followed by an exhibition about emigration and the coffin ships which was very interesting. Then we spent time independently in the windmill itself - equally fascinating but you need to be to climb narrow steps between each floor to get the best experience. There is also opportunity to watch the numerous birds on the estuary, either by the naked eye or using the free telescope provided. Finally a model railway exhibition which was equally excellent. Some may say a random mix but it worked perfectly for us with something to appeal to all - wildlife, Irish history , engineering, & exploring a windmill with the added benefit of excellent guides. Thank you all for making our visit so enjoyable.
