Pleasant Afternoon.
休德利城堡的点评
点评：When you arrive, you will recieve the warmest welcome at the ticket desk. I asked for both information on the castle and recommendations for dinner in the evening, the young woman that served me was a local and answered all my requests and also recommended a couple of pubs locally - v.good by the way!!!! On my way out, she wished me a lovely evening and told me I could walk across the field via a public footpath; appreciated that as it saved my legs and got me to the centre of the village even quicker.
Ticket price: senior citizen £23 and reminiscent of most days out!
I enjoyed my afternoon immensely walking around at my own pace, stopping first at the tithe barn where I took a stunning shot of the castle. The gardens are springing into action so I literally stopped to smell the flowers!
I called in for a coffee at the bottom of the steps which was a welcome break and refreshment, I didn’t realise what a view of the hills you could get and sat by the mosaic taking it in.
The exhibition rooms were my favourite as you have history at your fingertips so definitely go in there.
I recommend designating at least a couple of hours to explore.
Will be returning!
