A Warm Welcome on a Wet Day
休德利城堡的点评
点评：Despite the weather, we received a lovely warm welcome from the ladies in the shop. They were incredibly helpful and informative, not just about the site but also the area (we aren't local)
The Castle was amazing and we were blown away by the knowledge and enthusiasm of the guides, there was a gentleman dressed up whose knowledge of the civil war knew no bounds
The children did start to get a little jaded after a couple of hours, like most historical sites, it's hard to make it exciting to under 10 year olds, but the adventure playground allowed them to let off some steam
We decided to grab a coffee to warm ourselves up, and again were welcomed by a sea of friendly faces. Admittedly we did have to wait a little while to be served, but the coffee and cakes were definitely worth the wait
Whilst not the cheapest place we have been, overall we had a lovely day and everyone came away happy and tired
