Lovely heritage railway. Very poor parking experience at Broadway.

点评：Loved the GWSR - the services, staff, rolling stock and locos were all great. We just did a family ride from Broadway to Toddington and back. Haulage was an elegant Battle of Britain class loco ‘Manston’ then return was the beautiful ‘Betton Grange’ with a class 24 pushing from the rear.
The short ride for 4 was £60 which I thought was expensive and there are no concessions for students or unemployed. You can get money back off the car parking, but in our case that didn’t happen.
In fact the parking at Broadway is a total pain. It is located down a laneway across from the station with a single machine that only accepts coins which is pretty dumb in 2026. Apparently there is an app you can use but we could not find it on the App Store and the mobile signal at that location is poor. So, we parked, then had to go to the station and park on the approach which is all restricted, get change and tickets, then drive back down, park again, use the machine and walk back up to the station. Good job we were early.
We had a lovely trip down to Toddington and back, but the car parking was a nightmare and needs sorting out.
