点评:We started our journey on the steam railway at Broadway. Car parking is a pay and display car park on the opposite side of the road from the station but there are a couple of disabled bays at the station itself. We were travelling with our 2 dogs and I had already checked they were allowed on the train. What I had missed is you are charged £5 per dog to travel which I felt was a bit steep on top of the fares we had already paid for oursleves. Due to a landslip we were only able to travel as far as Winchcombe not all the way to Cheltenham. We were aware of this before we arrived, so this wasn't an issue, although there seemed to be little reduction in the fares to reflect this? Our train was pulled by Betton Grange which is the newest steam locomotive in the country having been built in 2024. We had a lovely trip down the line and back taking in the beautiful Cotswolds scenery then went to Toddington where we alighted to visit the locomotive viewing area, partake in lunch and have a browse round the gift shop. We then caught a later train to Winchcombe then back to Broadway. The staff were brilliant, very helpful and friendly, and several made a fuss over our dogs which always puts a tick in the box. We look forward to returning again and, hopefully, enjoy the full experience down to Cheltenham and back.
