Totally amazing place.
The Waterman's Arms的点评
点评：We were lucky enough to be able to stay at Watermans Arms in Totnes. What a stunningly beautiful setting. The weather was great, so we could sit outside during our visit. We were checked in by the lovely owners & shown to our room. Lovely, over looking the river. Great powerful & hot shower & plenty of hanging space in the bedroom area. A VERY comfortable bed. The whole pub & rooms is exceptionally clean.
We ate in the pub both nights. Ist evening I had fish & chips - out standing. Partner had the open fish pie. Looked amazing. 2nd evening I had a huge bowl of mussels in cream, white wine & thyme sauce, with fries. Partner had ham, egg & chips. Faultless. The chef on the 2 evenings we ate was Gordon & I had to personally thank him for the exceptional food. ALL the staff we met were friendly & lovely. The setting of this pub, right on the river is superb. Every night were were there, they were busy, so clearly & unsurprisingly, it's very popular. Lot's of people with their well behaved dogs, which was nice to see. The new owners have clearly made a great change to the garden areas. Beautiful hanging baskets & rockeries. I saw people stopping to take pictures, admiring the grounds. We were made to feel really welcome & I would most definitely be staying here again in the not too distant future. Thank you for the hospitality. We really were made to feel special & you could tell the couple running this pub with their family were glad to receive and entertain their guests. I wish them all the very best.
