Lovely visit - but best to bring your own food on busy days
Paignton Zoo Environmental Park的点评
点评：On what was a rare, mostly sunny day, I took the family to Paignton Zoo for the first time in about a year. It has recently been taken over by a new company and there was some construction work going on, but almost all the paths and exhibits were open.
Most of the animals were visible, including the baboons, apes, giraffes and crocodiles. There were also some baby monkeys which delighted the kids. No sign of the maned wolf pups but we saw a glimpse of one of the adults.
We caught the porcupine feed, which meant we actually saw the porcupines moving around for a change! But the best addition to the zoo has got to be the sloth in the tropical house. Seeing it climbing in the trees and on the ropes just above our heads was a truly magical experience.
The lions and tigers were off show, which was a disappointment but there was a chap from the zoo who had some animal bones, which entertained the little ones for a while.
My only major complaint was the restaurant. It was very busy so it was a bit of a chaotic mess trying to order. There wasn't a lot of food to choose from, it was overpriced for what it was and there didn't seem to be any cutlery. I would advise taking your own lunch on busy days.
