A little heads up for families picnicking!
Bicton Park Botanical Gardens的点评
点评：Please note if picnicking as a family, head to the area where the soft play barn is. (Toilets are inside there & you can't eat your own food here.) There are some picnic benches or seats outside but we sat in the shade of a lovely big tree. There's seating in the shade immediately outside the play barn as well. If using the soft play, adults are asked to either remove their shoes or wear elasticated disposable slip on covers. Children must wear socks. If without you can buy a pair for £1.00.
I asked on arrival about water refill stations and was directed to the cafe. A slightly grumpy lady rather begrudgingly agreed to fill up our 3 water bottles!
If going on the train ride, loved by our 7 & 4 year old grandchildren, you can only buy the tickets where you pay for entry to the gardens, not at the train itself. Check train times here before you go. Yesterday it ran on three occasions 11am, 1.30pm & 3pm. Near the train is a little farm based play area, enjoyed by our two little boys.
Beautiful floral colour around and lovely to see green grass!
