Beautiful gardens and a brilliant family day out

点评：We’ve visited Ightham Mote quite a few times now and, although the house is interesting, it’s the gardens that keep drawing us back.
They’re absolutely beautiful and so varied. One minute you’re strolling through the formal walled garden with its immaculate planting, the next you’re wandering through wildflower meadows and rewilded areas buzzing with wildlife. There are peaceful fountains, quiet spots to sit, magnificent trees and stunning views around every corner. It’s obvious how much hard work and passion goes into keeping everything looking so fantastic.
Our grandchildren loved the natural play area and spent ages climbing and exploring. It’s such a great addition and made the day just as enjoyable for them as it was for us.
A big thank you to Julian in the shop, who was so friendly and welcoming, and to Richard, one of the gardeners, who took the time to chat with us. They were both an absolute delight and really added to our visit.
It’s also wonderfully dog friendly, so everyone gets to enjoy a day out together.
We’ll definitely be back… again! Five stars from us.
