点评:We have been visiting Umberslade estate and farm for many years and using your cafe facilities. Today I attended with my daughter who has special needs and has a visual imparement. She is a blue badge holder.
I noted on entering the car park mention was made about parking fees being applicable but thought blue badge holders would be exempt. On reading the notice in the car park it was unclear on this point and no mention whatsoever was made anywhere that if you used the Cafe or Pizza facility the parking fee would be waived. As I wasn't certain of this on arrival and had not got my mobile phone with me plus couldn't see anywhere where a vehicle reg could be registered I thought it best to leave and did so as quickly as possible. However,I noted on exiting you have the dreaded vehicle camera mounted which will probably have taken a photo of
my reg Y60 MOD and I won't be surprised if I therefore get a letter from these parking cowboys demanding a large fine.
I will of course defend any such claim most vigorously and hell will freeze over before they extort a penny from me for spending 5 mind reading a notice in your car park about the new fees.
You appear reasonable and decent people and I am sorry if you think I'm being unfair or unreasonable but I find these parking companies are a plague on modern day life and usually act in a completely draconian manner.
Maybe the parking company you have engaged may be different but I doubt it and I will write to you again direct if I hear from them. May I however make a simple suggestion- you allow blue badge holders to be exempt and also you make it very clear on your notices that if the person parking uses your facilities then no parking fee will be charged. This would avoid loyal long term customers like myself getting upset and having to express my disappointment. You may get some extra parking income but the good will you lose and lost custom may well prove to be much greater I suspect.
