Conference breather and a beautiful and inspiring break , total immersion in the wild Atlantic way

点评：We were driven from the hotel to the pier where a fine rib helmed by Eoin was ready and gave us an exciting spin out to the island. Ciaran, Tracy and Tom were all ready and waiting with a warm and friendly welcome and the sauna was fired up and roasting. We stripped off and jumped in the sea followed by a very healthy and beautiful hour of swimming and sauna alternating. The water was clear and warmer than expected. We then had an energising and inspiring walk around the island with truly Atlantean views of 50 island separated by channels of turbulent water under clouds scudding briskly with light showers between lighthouses and piers. The Pirate Queen , Granuaile , could have played hide and seek. Lunch in the lodge and some warm liquid refreshments put a reassuring and snug cap on our morning as we tucked into soup , sandwiches, doughnuts and biccies , and Ciaran , Tom and Tracey told us the tales of the place and the characters of the area. I wish we were overnighting cos the bunks and rooms looked clean and cosy. I’ll be bringing the extended family down come summer
