Packwood House的点评
点评：We visited here today after an hour-long drive. There was plenty of parking, including EV chargers and parent spaces, which some National Trust sites don’t offer. The entrance had a small shop, and just off here is a restaurant with plenty of seating.
We first got timed tickets for entry into the house. After walking across the courtyard and up the road, we found the house. We were greeted by a volunteer who gave us a quick briefing about the house and a laminated sheet to find eight tapestries, which our daughter loved! The house was definitely impressive with some excellent restored pieces throughout.
Once walking round the house, we decided to walk through the garden, round the lake, and into the woods, but had to turn back due to the full circular route being closed in the woods.
When walking back, we stopped by the bookshop, getting two books for our daughter, finally returning to the restaurant.
Unfortunately, when going to the restaurant, we had an issue with an incredibly rude staff member. After sitting down I retrieved our daughter’s allergy-specific food out of her bag and my wife waited in the queue to get our food and drink. A female member of staff came over, who I think is was a manager, abruptly saying , “You can’t consume food here, that hasn’t been purchased here”. I pointed at my wife, stating, “My wife is in the queue to buy food and drink”. She then stared at me as if I was lying, and then repeated herself, then just stood staring and lingered as if she was waiting for me to pack everything up. We were hoping to have our hot food and drink whilst our daughter had her food, but were made to feel extremely uncomfortable, so we left. We were also going to purchase another year’s pass as ours expired today, but we didn’t bother and are questioning whether we will now!

不幸的是，在去餐厅的路上，我们遇到了一位态度极其恶劣的工作人员。坐下后，我从女儿的包里拿出她过敏时吃的食物，妻子则在排队等着买我们的食物和饮料。这时，一位女工作人员走了过来，我猜她可能是经理，她突然说道：“你们不能在这里吃任何不在店里买的食物。” 我指着妻子说：“我妻子正在排队买食物和饮料呢。” 她盯着我，好像我在撒谎似的，然后又重复了一遍，接着就站在那里，盯着我看，好像在等我把东西都收拾好。我们本来想在女儿吃东西的时候吃热食和饮料，结果却感觉非常不自在，只好离开了。我们本来还打算再办一张年卡，因为我们的年卡今天到期了，但现在我们放弃了，而且现在还在犹豫要不要办！
