点评：This is about the Eco Tour specifically, the tour that only goes around the Islands and not the landing tour where you get to walk around the islands. We were traveling with our three children and decided to do the Eco Tour to try to see some wildlife, puffins especially (there is an age minimum for the landing tour). The day in July was very clear when we went, though a bit windy, and the boat ride was very rough. The biggest issue for me, however, was that we weren't given life jackets for the ride. I originally assumed we would be given them because they are pictured in the photos on the website. When we weren't given them, I assumed it was because we didn't need them. However, the very rough boat ride had us bouncing on our seats with almost nothing to hold on to and only the thinnest railings around the edge of the boat. I was terrified, as my youngest child is only 5. It takes about 45 minutes to get out to the islands, so we were white knuckling it the whole time. Once at the islands, the water was calmer, and it was beautiful to see gannets and seals. But no puffins! They were too small to make out on the larger island. The trip back was just as bad. We were told some bigger boats to the islands can handle the waves better, but ours just had to ride over them at top speed. Having assumed the life jackets were not customary, I was really surprised to find out that our family members who had used a different company to go on a landing trip were all given life jackets. All this is to say it ended up being a fairly harrowing and regrettable experience for our young family, and I wouldn't recommend the Eco Tour, especially for families with young children.
