LOVELY DAY AT BADDESLEY CLINTON

点评：Sunday 10th May 2026, My husband and I went out for the day to visit Baddesley Clinton Moated Manor House and Garden which is also under the care of the National Trust. We last visited here in June 2024.
The day was warm and sunny, so my husband and I decided we would take a nice late spring walk round the gardens.
We walked alongside the side of the moated house down into the ‘Lake Garden’ and wandered over the bridge and around the lake looking at all the lovely trees in bloom and flowering lily’s on the lake, and the late spring flowers that were peeking out from beneath the lush green foliage. We then strolled along a path which took us to the ‘Wild Flower Meadow’, which was lovely and full of buttercups. We then went to look at ‘Vegetable Garden’ to look at the flowering vegetables and flowers and we went into the ‘Sundial Garden’, and we looked at the ‘The Hot House & Vinery’, which was lush with a vine full of blossom ready to become the small developing grapes which would be fully grown and ready in August.
We then went through a wooden gate into the ‘Walled Garden’, which had a lovely late spring border which was bright, and beautiful containing deep purple alums and beautiful mauve flowering shrubs and scented wild flowers. We walked round these lovely late spring gardens for three hours. We sat on bench and soaked up the warm sun like lizards basking on a rock.
Afterwards, my husband and I were in need of refreshments. We then went for drinks in the café. My husband had a nice pot of tea and I had a nice latte coffee and we both indulged in a large slice of Victoria sponge, which was really scrummy. We left here when the house closed at 5.00pm and went to collect our car from the car park.

接着，我们穿过一道木门，来到“围墙花园”。花园里有一片美丽的晚春花境，明亮而迷人，深紫色的明矾、淡紫色的灌木和芬芳的野花竞相绽放。我们在这片美丽的晚春花园里漫步了三个小时。我们坐在长椅上，像蜥蜴在岩石上晒太阳一样，沐浴着温暖的阳光。
之后，我和丈夫都想补充能量。于是我们去了咖啡馆。丈夫点了一壶好茶，我点了一杯拿铁咖啡，我们还都享用了一大块维多利亚海绵蛋糕，味道真是棒极了。下午 5 点，房子关门后，我们离开了这里，去停车场取车。
