点评：This dive shop is also known as Aqua Diving Adventures and was recommended to me by Arrecifal Dive Centre for my Advanced Open Water course. Whilst there are fewer reviews for this shop, I'm very glad I decided to dive with them. I loved the fact that my hotel, Sur Restinga, was a stone's throw away. Aqua Diving Adventures have the best location right on the port where I did 3 out of 5 dives. Having everything right there really added to the overall experience. I had originally thought a course with a group was what I was looking for, but there is really nothing better than having the full attention of the teacher for learning. Also, it's worth mentioning that there is little English on El Hierro so when I was with the groups for the sea dives, you can't but help but feel a bit left out if your Spanish isn't great. It's all part of the experience of travel though, and the quality of the dives more than made up for it. From now on my preference will be tiny groups for certifications like this. Everything is tailored to what you need to work on, so you progress much faster. Rodri, my teacher, was very meticulous about the details, so I have the feeling that I really improved my diving way beyond what I might be able to do with another teacher. We practiced a lot on perfecting buoyancy which enabled me to do one of the most exciting dives of my life. Though Europe is not as vibrant as other places further afield, this was a stunning dive with a number of channels, caves and crannies to navigate through waves of fish, and I felt a real sense of accomplishment that I was able to maintain such precise control through what felt a bit like an obstacle course. The fish were great too and there are plenty of larger ones like rays and there was a very rare solrayo shark on that dive. Besides being a very effective teacher on the skills, Rodri was such a lovely and warm person too and was very patient, which I appreciated as I was struggling with multi-tasking. It was overall a really great experience doing my course with Aqua Diving Adventures and I'm super energised to go diving again in a couple months. It's worth mentioning that El Hierro itself is super interesting because it is such a polar extreme from Tenerife just two hours by ferry away but it's still very affordable to get there. Tenerife is super commercialised but there's very little in the way of shops and restaurants in La Restinga where all the diving is on El Hierro. It's a tiny place too! I really fell in love with it.
