Another brilliant day out at Chester Zoo
切斯特动物园的点评
点评：Family of 3 – Recent Visit (30/07/26)
This was our 3rd or 4th visit to Chester Zoo, and once again it didn't disappoint. Every time we come, we notice something new, and it's one of those places that never gets boring.
Upon entry, we purchased two refillable cups. You can visit almost any food or drink outlet within the zoo grounds and ask for a refill of Coke, Fanta, Sprite, and other soft drinks throughout the day, which is well worth it.
The zoo is absolutely massive. If you can, I'd recommend visiting over two days so you don't have to rush around trying to see everything. We managed to see everything we wanted, but it was definitely a full day of walking!
For people complaining that they didn't see the lions, tigers, or other animals, remember that sightings are never guaranteed. They're probably resting, feeding, or simply choosing to stay out of sight, just as they would in the wild. That's all part of visiting a world-class zoo that puts animal welfare first.
We spent quite a while watching the chimpanzees. They're always entertaining to watch, and each one seems to have its own unique personality. We also loved watching the orangutans and the elephants and could have happily stood there for even longer. There are so many incredible animals to see that every area of the zoo has something special.
One of the things we love most about Chester Zoo is how much it focuses on conservation and animal welfare. The enclosures are spacious and feel as natural as possible. It's clear that the wellbeing of the animals is the top priority, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The grounds themselves are immaculate. Everywhere we walked was clean, tidy, and very well maintained, despite how many visitors the zoo welcomes. The gardens are beautiful too and make walking around even more enjoyable.
Every member of staff we came across was friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. We'd also recommend downloading the Chester Zoo app before you visit. The interactive map is excellent, saves a lot of time, and includes information about the mammals, birds, reptiles, and other animals throughout the zoo.
There are plenty of food and drink outlets spread around the zoo, so you're never far from somewhere to grab a bite to eat or a drink. We also felt the whole day offered excellent value for money considering just how much there is to see and do.
Whether you're visiting with young children, teenagers, or as adults, there's something for everyone. There are countless opportunities to take great photos, and every visit feels different.
Overall, Chester Zoo is one of the best attractions we've visited in the UK. We've now visited several times, and every visit has been just as enjoyable as the last. It's a fantastic day out, beautifully looked after, and somewhere we'll continue to return to for years to come. If you're thinking about visiting, don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed. Five stars from us!
