Castle itself is brilliant but let down by cafe experience.

点评：We went for the Halloween monster academy trail, this was very good, the characters doing this were very engaging with the children and entertaining. They got a little certificate and sticker at the end and this was included in your entry.
The ruins are lovely to look around , plenty of space so not too crowded and amazing views at the top.
I have marked it down for cafe experience , it's half term and they must have expected to be busy and yet there were only 2 ladies serving. So you ordered, they made your drink and then walked you to the till to pay. This caused very long queues, 30 minutes for 2 hot drinks is ridiculous especially when you have young children also having to wait. In-between making the drinks and serving the hot food they are having to stock up as understandably things are running low making the wait time even longer. More staff were definitely needed and would put me off using the cafe again.
I have also marked it down because the toilets by late afternoon were in serious need of cleaning.
