点评:A walk out to the Lighthouse is a must if you are in the area. Fewer of these opportunities exist these days with St Mary's being one a dwindling number of such structures open to the public. Just remember to check the tide times!!!!
Visiting the lighthouse and viewing the Nature Reserve either from the surrounding public grounds or by paying a small fee to go to the top where the seal colony is usually basking at the waters edge.
If you do venture taking the circular your "upstairs' you will, after over 130 steps, have a great view and see the visitors centre which has lots of information about the area.
Personally, there isn't the stunning sight you would expect to see from being at such a height but you can add another page to your book of life's achievements - being up a lighthouse!
Small shop at the bottom, selling a pretty limited selection of touristy gifts.
A very inexpensive activity which is well worth an hour or so of your time.
