The Manor的点评
点评：The Manor is the setting of the Green Knowe series, and its author, Lucy M. Boston, lived there for many years. As a fan of the books series, I simply had to visit it in person.
When making a reservation with Diana, I also learned about the best way to get there. If travelling from London, you need to take a train to Huntington and then transfer to Hemingford Grey by a taxi. For the return journey, it is best to book a taxi, which costs around £15 per trip.
Once a few groups of visitors had arrived, Diana began the guided tour. We were shown around the interior rooms and learned about Lucy’s life, including her patchwork, as well as various details related to Green Knowe. Afterwards, we spent some time browsing in the bookshop. I bought a few books, though unfortunately I forgot to pick up a Toby mouse magnet.
After the tour, I also visited the beautiful rose garden and took a short rest there. I took some photos—the manor itself is not particularly large, but it is charming, and the garden is equally delightful. The experience of that day remains vivid in my memory.
