An enjoyable, but expensive night out!

点评：We visited the 2025 Christmas Market as a festive date. Quite impressed with the range of independent stalls selling various things, and decent big wheel as well.
What we were less impressed with was the Christening tree maze. There was nobody manning the entrance and it wasn’t obvious there was an entry fee, so we walked in. The only trees lit up were around the front side of this attraction, which is then really dark at night once you got into it. We decided to come out again after 30 seconds or so, and go on the big wheel next to it.
However, after our ride on the big wheel was complete, when disembarking the gondola there were two market security guards there that took us to one side as they’d had a complaint from the individual running the tree maze that we hadn’t paid for admission, and that we should pay for the entry (£4 each for both of us, for 30 seconds in the maze) or be thrown out of the market altogether!!!
We reluctantly did this, as we’d travelled to Cambridge specifically for this attraction as a romantic date. What became clear later was that it wasn’t just the time we walked into the maze where nobody was at the entrance to it - he was also nowhere to be seen during a later pass of the maze entrance. This made us wonder if it is an intentional part of the business model for the maze!
So it was a decent enough attraction which was let down by some of the individuals running selected elements within it. We’ve laughed about it since, but to be charged £8 for 30 seconds in the maze was not especially funny, especially considering the price of other elements of the market.

所以，这个景点本身还不错，只是部分工作人员的失职拖了后腿。事后我们拿这件事开玩笑，但花8英镑在迷宫里待30秒实在让人笑不出来，尤其考虑到其他景点的价格。
