点评：For just over $500 US we booked a half day morning deep sea fishing trip for four. The morning of the trip we awoke to unexpected rain. I messaged the tour company, saying that with the rain it looked like we should cancel. They responded with,"If you want to cancel, there's no problem." (But he apparently meant, it would be no problem for them to keep the money and offer nothing in return. Which feels like a problem to me.) I reached out later about a refund and they told me he could no nothing for me. He wished he could but Viator had policies. I quoted to him the Viator cancellation policy for our excursion. It says the excursion is weather dependent and bad weather would make a refund available. I reached out to Viator, who reached out to Tony Tours. To summarize, Viator said, You could get a refund, if the tour provider agreed. But he didn't.
My takeaway is that Tony Tours could have responded the morning of our tour with, If you cancel there is no refund, if they didn't have any intention of giving one, instead of - "no problem". Furthermore, Tony Tours could have provided a refund, when I asked or when Viator asked them.
