点评:A lovely day out at London Alpacas with a gift card bought for us for Christmas for a private trip for two (more family members can be added for not much more). The farm is a short, but not walkable, taxi drive from Epping station - the local firm, Lawlor, know where it is but it wouldn't be discernible from the road otherwise.
It had been raining considerably before our visit - the best advice: take Wellingtons - which made the fields muddy although walkable, and once we'd met the older beasts in the first field we were taken to the second where the younger alpacas were curious, friendly and absolutely delightful - and very enthusiastic when we got the chance to feed them. We'd have taken one home, but a one-bedroom Zone 2 flat probably isn't suitable.
Our guide Sander was a fount of knowledge, happy to let us take our time and quite clearly loves the job and the alpacas (and very kindly sent us a huge number of pictures and videos the very next day). And frankly, who wouldn't? A really recommended trip right at the end of the Central Line. Oh, and...
take Wellingtons.
