点评:This was hands down the maritime highlight of my month Down Under. When I had gone on a reef excursion from Cairns in the North it was all ridiculously rushed and stressful, with barely 1½ hours of net swimtime compared to almost 6 hours journey time. Lady Musgrave was the complete opposite. The sea was a bit choppy on the way, but fortunately I’m not personally prone to any stomach issues, and everything else I couldn’t have pictured it more beautifully in a dream. I stayed the night and it was just one of the most sublime travel experiences of my life. Swimming with (adult) turtles was already a great thrill, but then, when Alessia took us overnight guests back to the island in the evening, and we had the spectacular rare luck of being able to witness (and assist) baby turtles hatching, it moved all of us there profoundly. Dinner was absolutely tremendous (even if I felt slightly embarrassed being served by qualified marine biologists), and the deckside bed positioned to greet the sunrise over the deep blue sea in the morning was just glorious. Giant rays, the odd reef shark and the unerringly friendly crew all added to what was a truly once-in-a-lifetime trip. My gratitude to all of you!
