What a beautiful place, The National trust have some amazing places and I thought St Micheals Mount was stunning.This place blew me away.The house was beautiful such lively decor nice and modern given the era it was all made and decorated. It was light and airy and didn’t feel like you were in an old building.Even my son enjoyed being there and he doesn’t usually like the houses just the grounds and gardens.
We walked down to the viewing point over the cliff down to what used to be the sea pool and that view didn’t disappoint. It was a mega hot day but that just added to the atmosphere. We stopped for a drink in the cafe and sat on the patio under the umbrellas and watched the Robin potter around looking for crumbs.
The volunteers were all super helpful and knowledgeable and wanted to chat about the lovely house.
The lanes down to Coleton Fishacre were a bit narrow but did have passing places which was good as a long way to reverse if not, just take it steady as the locals do seem to drive through at speed.
Great location if you’re staying in Kingswear/Torquay area.
We only travelled from Liskeard area so just over an hour. Will definitely go here again.

如果你住在金斯韦尔或托基一带，这里是个绝佳的去处。
