A wonderful afternoon tea river cruise

点评：We had a lovely afternoon tea cruise, with our son and daughter in law, on Wednesday. The crew were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious! Our son and daughter in law had the sweet version and we had the savoury version. There were so many delicious and varied finger sandwiches, five big ones each, brown and white bread, with different fillings including smoked salmon, cucumber, cream cheese, beef, and egg. All very tasty. The savouries were exquisite, with filo pastry tartlet, a little duck design savoury, and other tasty little pastry savouries, each, all home made by the wonderful chef. I ate them too quickly to memorise what they were! Then we had two delicious scones each with cream and jam. Our son and daughter in law had a lovely selection of cakes and fruit tartlets (loving the ornate little ducks with a tasty sweet filling!) to follow, with their sweet choice menu. And we all had plenty of tea with the pot refilled! We also pushed the boat out ( no pun intended!) by ordering glasses of wine and soft drinks. We had plenty of time on our 2 hour cruise to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the river, at a gentle pace. We spent some of the time enjoying the views from the top deck, and in between, from our table in the inside salon, as we tucked into our delicious afternoon tea. Great views through the big windows there too. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing experience. Very reasonable price too, for a touch of luxury, and exquisite food! Thanks to the friendly and attentive crew. It was amazing!
