点评：We honestly cannot recommend the diving team highly enough. What started as something we thought our son might enjoy turned into one of the highlights of our holiday and a memory our whole family will never forget.
I did my Open Water and Advanced courses in Koh Tao 11 years ago, but hadn't been diving at all since. My 9-year-old son had mentioned scuba diving before, but I think he was a little nervous about actually trying it. Burak and Cihan were always around the pool speaking to guests about diving, and they initially suggested that because he enjoyed snorkeling, he would probably really enjoy scuba diving too.
After a little encouragement, my son eventually agreed to try it in the pool with me. He absolutely loved it, which gave him the confidence to do his first sea dive the following morning.
Burak took us on that first dive and was fantastic throughout. He was friendly, patient and professional, and made my son feel completely comfortable. The dive itself was incredible, and getting to see an octopus and even having it come onto my hand was something neither of us will forget!
After seeing her brother dive, our 7-year-old daughter was desperate to try it herself. She was initially nervous and we weren't sure how she would manage, so we agreed that she would try it in the pool first. Cihan was brilliant with her from the start. He was incredibly patient and reassuring, and made her feel comfortable enough to give it a go.
Once she had tried the pool session and decided she wanted to do it, our son wanted to do another sea dive too. So the next day, my son and I went back into the sea for our second dive, while Cihan took our daughter separately so that he could give her his full attention.
The second dive was fantastic as well. They showed us a little more about how everything worked, including using the BCD and controlling our buoyancy through our breathing. Having not dived for 11 years, these were things I'd completely forgotten, but it all came back very quickly. It was great to have that extra guidance while also being given more confidence and independence in the water.
At the same time, Cihan was looking after our daughter. We didn't actually see her during the dive, so we weren't even sure how it had gone. He had arranged to meet us at the octopus before taking her back into the shallower water, but because he kept her in that area, we didn't get to see her.
It turned out she had absolutely loved it.
Cihan was incredibly kind and patient with her and never pressured her to do anything she wasn't comfortable with. He adapted the experience completely around her, kept her where she felt safe and made it such a positive experience for her. He also took some fantastic photos of her, which meant so much to us.
When she came back, she was absolutely beaming. Seeing our 7-year-old so happy and excited after doing something she had initially been nervous about was genuinely one of those holiday moments that we'll remember forever.
Both Burak and Cihan were so kind, welcoming and professional from start to finish. They made all of us feel completely safe and looked after, and they went far beyond what we expected to make sure our children had an amazing experience.
For our son, they gave him the confidence to try something he had been nervous about, and then made it enjoyable enough that he wanted to do it again. For our daughter, Cihan gave her the confidence and patience she needed to have an incredible experience at just 7 years old.
We are genuinely so grateful to both of them and the whole team. If you're staying at the hotel and considering trying scuba diving, I honestly couldn't recommend them more. Absolutely fantastic people and an amazing experience from start to finish.
