点评：⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely brilliant—heroic care, beautiful boat, memories to treasure
We’ve just returned from our holiday with Fox Hangers Canal Boat Holidays and what an experience it was—one we’ll never forget, for all the right reasons, even when things got unexpectedly dramatic!
We arrived on a Friday, myself, my 81-year-old mum, and a dear friend. Halfway through our induction, mum suddenly took unwell and lost consciousness. It was incredibly scary—we truly feared the worst—but from that very second, the team at Fox Hangers stepped in like family. Sid was an absolute star—ex-fireman, calm as anything, checking mum over, guiding us, staying right there with us as we waited for the ambulance. We can’t thank him enough for his kindness, expertise, and reassurance when we needed it most.
The whole team were amazing—they helped found a solution while we were at the hospital and checked in with us every single day while mum was admitted, and supported us to use the boat as a floating hotel until she was well enough to rejoin us. The lady in the office was wonderful too—so caring, so helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Mum was discharged on the Monday—still a little weak, but determined to make the most of it! We picked her up from Swindon Hospital, navigated car swaps and taxi runs, and finally got back on the water. Our boat was beautiful—72 feet long and a joy to handle once I got the hang of her! We cruised up towards Bath and back, saw stunning sunsets reflecting like mirrors on the water, watched herons, stopped at the Barge Inn for lovely meals, fished a little, and even helped other boaters along the way. The pace was perfect—slow, peaceful, full of beauty.
This wasn’t the holiday we planned, but it was the one we’ll cherish forever. Mum’s recovering well, we’ve got hundreds of photos, and we left with our hearts full. Thank you Sid, thank you to the office team, and thank you Fox Hangers—you don’t just rent boats, you look after people. We’ll be back! 💛

周一，妈妈出院了——虽然还有些虚弱，但她决心要好好享受接下来的时光！我们到斯温顿医院接她回家。我们克服了换车、打车等种种困难，终于又回到了水上。我们的船真是漂亮极了——长达72英尺，等我熟悉了操控之后，驾驶起来更是乐趣无穷！我们沿着河道航行至巴斯又返回，欣赏到了如镜子般倒映在水面上的绝美日落，还看到了白鹭。我们在“Barge Inn”旅馆享用了美味佳肴，钓了一会儿鱼，甚至途中还帮助了其他船只的船主。整个节奏恰到好处——缓慢、宁静，处处充满美好。
