点评:The Bridge of Sighs is undoubtedly one of Oxford’s most photographed landmarks, and it’s easy to see why. Connecting two parts of Hertford College, the bridge has a charming Venetian-inspired design that looks especially nice against the historic backdrop of the city. We stopped by on a sunny afternoon, and it made for some lovely photos.
That said, I don’t see what all the fuss is about. While it’s picturesque and worth a quick visit, it felt a bit overhyped once you’re actually there. The bridge itself is relatively small, and you can’t walk across it as a visitor (it’s for students only). You end up viewing it from the street below or from New College Lane, which is narrow and can get quite crowded with tourists.
It’s definitely worth seeing if you’re already walking around the area, especially if you enjoy architecture and iconic Oxford spots. Just don’t expect it to be a long or particularly memorable experience on its own.
