Tearoom spoilt afternoon

点评：Arrived to a very warm welcome and reception staff thorough in explaining that a concert was also on at same time of visit. Which didn’t spoil a thing. More to see than we thought and nicely laid out.
Had done a project when at secondary school about Elgar so knew a few bits already. Also as a frequent visitor to Worcester saw plaques and statues to Elgar.
But sadly the tea room let it down.
First impressions was dirty plates/cups/cutlery all around and customers just left them when there was a rack for trays by till.
As sitting outside was told our order was bought to us. We sat at an uncleared table so we put disposables in the bin up corner and left dirty cutlery for the person to collect when bringing our order. Alas when it came after a quarter of an hour they took the clean cutlery away on their tray as saw our table already had some!!!! So had to go back in and pick up from till.
Coffee was mostly froth in paper cup and not worth the money. Lemon cake very dry and couldn’t eat most of it so went yo put on used rack told assistant who just said “oh dear”. Asked for water to try and digest it which she gave for free.
Then I saw a man take back his food as gone cold and he was refunded and a free cake!
Will take own food if we ever return. Totally spoilt afternoon.

我们在室外就座后，被告知订单已经做好并会被送来。我们坐在一张还没清理的桌子旁，于是把一次性餐具扔进角落的垃圾桶，并把脏餐具留在那里，等服务员送餐时一并清理。然而十五分钟后，他们把干净的餐具放在托盘上拿走，因为他们看到我们的桌上其实已经有一些餐具了！！！我不得不重新进店，从收银台取回东西。
纸杯里的咖啡大多是泡泡，完全不值那个价钱。柠檬蛋糕干得要命，我几乎吃不下，于是把它放到回收架上，然后告诉店员，她只是说了句“哎呀”。我索要些水来帮助吞咽，她免费给了我。
后来我看到一个男人因为食物凉了而要求退换，结果他不仅拿到了退款，还得到了一个免费的蛋糕！
以后再来这里的话，我一定会自己带食物。整个下午都被毁了。
