Balmoral Castle的点评
点评：Absolutely amazing. I feel privileged to have visited Balmoral Castle and gone on the internal tour with my husband. It was one of the most special days of our lives. The drive there from Gleneagles Hotel via Braemar was special in itself and only added to the overall experience.
I’m not sure how else you could rate this tour other than “5”. It was so personal and so moving. To hear that King Charles had a hand in the development of the tour is amazing but I’m not surprised having also visited Highgrove House and Sandringham.
King Charles has put so much thought and love into the tour - bringing back antiquities to their rightful place such as Prince Albert’s cane to be near the painting of his beloved greyhound - Eos, to the special Indian tapestry tablecloth to display the one of a kind tea service.
The most moving moment was standing in the drawing room where the late Queen’s last photo was taken with Liz Truss. Most of us on the tour were moved to tears. Similarly moving was hearing about the love story of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. To have a statute of Prince Albert at the foot of the stairs that your staff “revolved” each evening so that the last thing Queen Victoria saw at the top of the stairs was Prince Albert’s face is a sign of a love that most of us can only dream of.
The tour guides were excellent (Grace) as were the facilities ( cafe and gift shop).
I don’t understand the rating of 3.8. How else could you rate such a personal history of our beloved Royal Family other than “5”.
