Interactive display and tasting with great hosting from Rory
Clonakilty Blackpudding Visitor Centre的点评
点评：We enjoyed a fun and informative visit to the Clonakilty Museum and wanted to say a special thanks to Rory who was an excellent host. On arrival at the museum we were warmly greeted by Rory and given an audio guide for the self guided tour. This was a delight to follow, giving history of the black pudding set in the context of the local area. It was set out in an immersive walk-through experience and included some audio/visual installations which were good fun.
At the end of the walk-through there were some windows to view the factory floor and although production wasn’t occurring when we visited, some videos had been installed to show what takes place during production.
It was then time for the tasting and Rory had prepared something of a feast for us with multiple types of the pudding to try and sausages too. We were also given a hot drink and encouraged to relax and taste at our own pace. Finally, there was a small but well stocked gift shop.
We really enjoyed this experience as there was much more to learn about the cultural and national significance of black pudding than I had previously realised, and this was set out in a really engaging way. Additionally, Rory was a very friendly and organised host, somehow managing the ticket desk, gift shop and perfectly timing the tasting plate too. Highly recommended!
