Cold pool, closed cafe
Stonehaven Open Air Swimming Pool的点评
点评：Visited here today with my daughter and it was awful. Have been a few times before and it’s been decent enough, hence the return visit. Get there for midday, have an early lunch in the nice cafe and then a swim in the heated pool. Lovely.
Paid my £17.60 for the two of us and then motioned to go to the cafe. “Cafe is shut”, said the young guy at reception. On a Saturday lunchtime in Summer? Great start.
Oh well, to the pool then. Had our warm showers before heading out and got in the “heated” pool. As I say, been before, so had an expectation of how well heated the pool usually is. I’m sure someone will respond that it was the same temperature that it always is. But it wasn’t. It was heated, but hardly. A huge water aerobics class meant swimming lengths wasn’t possible. The slide being open meant widths were restricted to a an area a couple of metres wide between where the slide users landed and the aerobics started.
So we bobbed around for ten minutes, decided we were both absolutely freezing, so got out, had another shower to get rid of the goosebumps and frostbite and left. Half an hour in the place and two thirds of that was changing and showering. Terrible experience.
