点评:Plenty of car parking (free for NT members) and it’s around a 10-15min walk to the cafe and house (although I seem to think there’s a buggy which transports less abled visitors). Vast grounds for a decent walk but beware electric bike riders speeding along without much care. In the main house it’s interesting to see how the rich lived back in the day and volunteer staff (top marks to them) are readily available if approached to answer questions and chat about the house/those that lived there. Unfortunately rooms are rather dark but I guess that’s due to preservation reasons as light pollution affects delicate furniture and fittings. My only gripe was in the cafe courtyard where dogs were often left barking and some children seemed to be uncontrolled by their parents who were content to let them run amok or constantly wail (call me old fashioned!). Good selection of plants for sale.
