Great Place to Visit, a Fascinating Story

点评：As a museum, the building and exhibits were wonderful. The information boards put into context the extraordinary stories of the Brontë family and associates and the exhibits and care of them were great. As most of the rooms are fairly small, naturally enough there was little room for manoeuvrability in the restricted spaces where visitors stand and view the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful however, other visitors were not so pleasant with rudeness and inconsiderate behaviours making it feel everything was rushed and we were 'hemmed in' at times. It was busy as expected I suppose and we were told to hang about in the garden until it was our turn because it was busy and to be fair we didn't wait long but from thereon in, the experience was uncomfortable as the place was packed. We have been to many other places where timed visits allow for control of numbers and we feel that this would help this venue. All in all we drop a point for the control of visitor numbers, nonetheless, we recommend this venue for anyone interested in the Brontës and their extraordinary story and for the quality of the exhibits and information.
There is car parking very close nearby and a gift shop at the end of the visit.
