点评：Took my 6 year old as a final treat at the end of the school holidays, having visited myself as a child it was a bit disappointing. We travelled 2 hours to visit and spent approximately 2 hours in the museum. The all about Me exhibit was good and despite other recent reviews not too crowded at all and we could spend a decent amount of time looking at and interacting with the exhibits. The picnic areas were clean and tidy and there was plenty of space to sit and eat. We brought a picnic but the cafe looked to be reasonably priced from the menu. Sadly after the All About Me exhibit there wasn’t much left to see/do. The miniature town area looked good but was too crowded by the mid afternoon to be able to really make use of this part, the sound exhibit could have been good but was overrrun with younger children aimlessly pressing buttons without supervision and not properly interacting with the exhibits- this created an awful lot of noise and was hard for the slightly older children to then interact with the area purposefully. There were a couple of other areas but were designated under 5s only so not accessible for us which was a shame. Multiple exhibits were also out of order / not working.

Overall for the entrance cost I feel it couldn’t be justified. Pre-book tickets were £17.50 or £20 if paying on arrival. Luckily my daughter had free entry with a blue peter badge but I would have been extremely disappointed if I had paid full entry tickets for the both of us. There was additionally car parking cost to pay on top of the entrance fee.
