An enjoyable day, but not as good as before

点评：We visited during half term and our young grandson really wanted to play the retro games on the 6th floor. Understandably, it was busy due to the school holiday, but it was very disorganised. Firstly it is £3 per person, so it costs us £9, as we had to pay too, even though we weren't going to participate and you are told to come back for a time slot. We didn't want to disappoint our young grandson, otherwise we wouldn't have gone in for this price. When we asked about paying, we were told by the young man on the desk that we could get our tickets now or when we came back at 2.15. When we came back however and paid, there was a queue of people already having purchased tickets, who were allowed in first. We were told we would have to wait until the end of the queue. We were allowed in then, but by that time, all the seats at the games were taken. We found something for him, but he couldn't reach the space invader type games and the lady said there were only two kiddy stools which were already being used because they had allowed far too many people in there. We had to wait around for the other seated games and only got 30 minutes in there and a few games didn't even work properly. Maybe, the time slots were only during school holidays, but it wasn't a pleasant or value for money experience. I feel like making a complaint. The rest of the museum was fine but after that we weren't inclined to pay to go into any of the other exhibitions. Like a few previous reviewers, we felt the new updated version of the museum is not as good as the old one. We liked playing the old TV programmes and public information films etc. The layout was better too.
