A Grand old British Castle.

点评：We visited the castle recently to see both the tulip festival and this magnificent stately home and castle. Situated just off the main road with plenty of parking and facilities on arrival.
After a short queue of perhaps 20 minutes ( online booking was not working)! We finally gained access to the beautifully manicured gardens and extended grounds. After about one and a half hours wandering the grounds and using the cafe we made our way into the castle.
It’s a fabulous fortress from the outside, with a 1000 years of history, your able to wander the battlements and even up to the top of the original Norman keep.
Inside is like a palace, very opulent and exquisite furnishings, the library particularly is a beautiful room, like something out of Harry Potter, but really the whole place is fantastic, and well worth a visit.
