I was concerned because I did not plan on purchasing an international phone plan. I tried to contact the tour operator and talked to Viator support. They said the ticket would be emailed the day prior. I didn't feel comfortable with not having the ticket in advance. But the company had a no refund or cancellation option.
The email said the actual ticket would be sent 1 day before the booking. Because of this I had to add an international data plan which I had wanted to avoid.
The day before I still had not received the ticket. The morning of my planned visit there was nothing in my email or app messages with a ticket. I was unsuccessful in getting ahold of the tour company. I contacted Viator and Trip advisor and they told me to contact the tour operator.
I was sent a ticket after Viator apparently contacted them. I received it at 9:45 am. However, as I was leaving for the days activities I purchased a ticket directly from the Arc de Triumphe site.
Total waste of money. I wasted a lot of time and incurred a lot of stress due to this company a) not sending the ticket at time of purchase and b) not sending the ticket the day before as promised. Also spent additional funds for data plan and purchasing a ticket after the stated delivery time had passed.
