点评:We visited this area of Aberdeen last weekend and what a fantastic find! Free parking is located within easy walking distance of the beautiful Aberdeen coastline at the mouth of the river Dee and Fittee (Footdee). There is a cute playground located here if you have children with you to have a pit-stop or picnic. There is also an ‘Honesty shed’ (cafe) nicknamed ‘Haarbucks’. This is an unmanned ‘shed’ which contains a small, cosy seating area to get out of the rain/wind, selling hot chocolates, coffees, tea, crisps, chocolate bars etc but relies on patrons being honest to pay for what they’ve consumed or make a worthy monetary contribution. We were told by a local that the proceeds go towards a local food bank charity that supports mothers with babies requiring baby milk (a wonderful idea). Personally, we were so glad to have taken the time to find this place as it harkened back to the days when Aberdeen was largely a fishing town and was made up of close kin living side-by-side. It helped that the weather was fine and bright if not a bit breezy.
