点评：We birded the Yucatan with MIGUEL (AMAR AVES) in January 2026. Miguel is a super nice and interesting guy. He organized our whole trip/itinerary with us by phone prior to our leaving the US.
Our three days with Miguel included visits to Muyil and Sian Ka’an. He is a bird expert for sure- and he knows all about the region’s cultural history and natural world.
Each day was a new region and each place offered new birds to see. Travel was easy; roads were very good.
Yucatan birding hotspots and towns are all a couple hours (give or take) by car from each other. We felt very safe. Every lodge/hotel was a treat — special, small, memorable, clean hotels. Birding was very productive (and would be even more so during spring migration). Trip was not too strenuous, yet still was an adventure, for sure.
Highly recommend! Thank you, Miguel, for all your hard work planning our trip; for your guiding expertise; and for the other great, kind bird guides you arranged for us for the remainder of our travels.
