点评:Took the family to the National Museum of Flight. Google told me to get off at Drem and get the bus but when we arrived at Drem we find it’s a village, the bus is every 90 minutes and there’s no taxis as you would expect at a normal train station (grew up in a village and there were always taxis waiting timed with the train arrivals). Called a local firm who told me to contact Glens in North Berwick.
My wife called Glens and explained the situation, they were gracious enough to send a cab to use and said it would be about 15-20 mins. All good so far, the driver was courteous and helped with the kids and bags and drove us the 3.4 miles to the museum where he proceeded to charge us TWENTY-FIVE POUNDS! £25 for 3.5 miles must be the worst rate I’ve ever had and I work in Aberdeen.
Later on, whilst at the airport museum we were talking to a manager about the taxi service and he was so aghast that he said he would remove this firm from their list of suggested firms. Excellent service marred by outrageous prices. If it weren’t for the service positives I’d have given 1-star.
