Overpriced, no ‘highland cow experience’. Avoid

点评：Visited for ‘Highland cow experience’. This cost £35 per person, so £70 total. There were only 4 cows available, behind a barbed wire fence. We were not allowed to get anywhere close to the cows, and had to share the cows with an extortionate number of others. There were no sufficient gaps in the fence to actually stroke the cows, so I found myself standing in a thorn bush hanging over barbed wire, and ended up in cuts. Definitely not what was advertised at all. I thought I would be ‘cuddling’ the animals and would actually get close to them. The food we were given to give to the cows ran out immediately as there were so many people on the experience, so it didn’t feel personally at all.
Also not convinced it’s appropriate to be encouraging the animals to stick their head into the barbed wire either? Images attached.
Once we’d finished the cow experience (which was about 15 mins, and we spent the first 5 mins walking very very slowly over to the cow field), we were allowed back into the farm. Disappointingly, you had to pay an additional fee for most other attractions, which considering we’d already paid £70 was incredibly cheeky.
Overall - overpriced, I’d say this is worth about £5pp.
