Great Visit in Kinderdijk and Great Explanation of the Windmill Operations

点评：In the middle of the Kinderdijk is a windmill museum that we visited on our bike tour. You get to go inside the windmill to see how people lived. You also have the opportunity to walk the grounds around the windmill to show the gardens and livestock families would have historically kept. Additionally, at the time of our visit, the tenant was there and show us how someone operates the windmill including turning the tower, stopping the blades and placing the sheets on the blades.
Watching someone operated the windmill was truly amazing and shows the art and skill involved in the operations. The fee was included in our bike tour, and we stayed nearly 30 minutes to see everything involved in the operation, including a visit with the cat and goats. For me this was a great visit in Kinderdijk, second to simply biking through the fields and windmills. I will say there is another windmill closer to the entrance to visit for those on foot as this one is in the middle of the grounds and a fair walk from the entrance. Another reason I suggest the bike tour.
