点评：We had been planning to visit last summer but due to suffering from hyperemisis we had to put off until now when weather started to get good again as it’s about an hours drive for us - I don’t know if this has maybe impacted on my feelings of disappointment as didn’t live up to expectations. My son and partner had a good time - Thomas was my partner’s obsession growing up and he’s passed it onto our oldest. So in terms of making memories it was good but the place was rather small and considering the price of admission per adult, I would have expected a lot more. Thankfully both children were young enough to not cost anything. The cafe choices were limited and again not the cheapest. My youngest is also only 4 months so between travelling each way, him feeding and of course actually looking around, he of course needed to be changed - which unfortunately had to be done in the boot of my car as they didn’t have any changing facilities. Considering the type of venue this is and the fact it’s catered to young children, I find this to be a big concern. Staff actually seemed surprised that I asked, like it was obvious they wouldn’t have it and I was being ridiculous for asking? They did say I could change baby in the seating area seen as it was empty - but given it was a cold gazebo with plastic “windows”, I didn’t think this was appropriate from a safety/safeguarding standpoint or from a hygiene perspective either. Also on a similar note I was glad I hadn’t potty trained my oldest yet at the small portaloo’s means would have been unable to assist him if he needed to use - not as big of a deal but just maybe something to consider if your child isn’t completely independent using the toilet yet.
