点评：Fabulous trip to Highclere Castle with my family of 4. Every single staff member that we met were friendly and knowledgeable and a credit to Highclere. We found the family ticket great value for money. There was ample parking and we found the gift shop very reasonable. We didn’t try the cafe but there was a good crowd of people eating so that is a good sign. We had pre purchased tickets but did queue for a short time to access the house. As a fan of downtown Abbey, I loved it. They had numerous information boards showing which rooms were used in the filming of Downtown. Photographer wasn’t allowed inside due to the fact it is a family home and family photos are on display but maybe not having the phone out allowed us to appreciate the house itself rather than trying to take photos. The grounds are beautifully also and well worth a wander. Our whole visit took around 3 hours and it was worth every penny.
