A good hotel especially if you enjoy golf.

点评：It's a lovely old building and the staff are excellent. Being an old building with recent extensions it has an awkward layout, and having no lift can cause problems. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed including great WiFi, plenty of storage and a safe. All the food throughout our four night stay was first class, the buffet breakfast was the best I have experienced for a long time with the waiting staff always attentive. The two 18-hole golf courses attract most of their business so it felt as if it was a Golf Club with rooms although we found it very quiet through the night.
Perhaps their concentration was on golfing but we did experience some housekeeping issues. There were some drink glasses left in a corridor and they were still there after four days. One day the bath mat was a spare hand towel. The tea bags in the room were not replaced and we were told at reception to raid the stock in the breakfast room. Just little niggly things but it showed a lack of attention. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.
