One of the better courses in the Region
Rio Real Golf Club的点评
点评：Played here in December, course was in very good condition.
Course layout was brilliant. One of the best tracks in the Marbella/Malaga region. Every hole was unique with some really utilising the natural landscape’s undulation.
Greens were hand cut and were very tight. Rolling very smoothly and quick on the Stimpmeter. Approaches had a unique first ring that was slightly different grass type to the rest of the approaches. The outer part of the approach aprons were extremely tightly cut and almost had a lack of coverage on them. Made chipping an interesting challenge. Fairways were fantastic, great coverage and sward all throughout the holes.
Tee boxes were in decent shape, but probably the weakest part of the course, which is not to say that they were bad. Some of the tee’s seemed uncut but I’ll give the benefit of the doubt as we played early on a Monday.
Driving range facilities were good, balls were of good quality, as too were the mats. Pretty good practice facilities (putting green & short game area) in good condition.
Had the English Breakfast before we played which was okay, not fantastic, but the staff were very friendly and helpful from the waiter to the guys in the pro shop.
Overall a very pleasant golfing experience. Definitely one of the better courses in the region.
