点评:Friends and I did a Princess tour of British isles and ended up the tour with 4 days in London. Two of the friends rented a private van with a tour guide. Jack was the tour guide and took us to Stonehenge. This is absolutely the only way to see Stonehenge. Jack is an archaeologist and blew my mind with his knowledge of what had happened in human history and what Stonehenge represents. I had never even considered such an idea. Most people I had spoken with before going said it was a total waste of time, that they had been there. it was a bunch of rocks and they had simply walked around and knew nothing about it. Jack explained the turning point in human history and I was completely enlightened, amazed and delighted. We then went on to Salisbury where we had lunch in a pub that was opened in 1320 if you can believe that. Then to Salisbury cathedral nearby which is a beautiful cathedral. And there we saw the best copy remaining of the four of the Magna Carta. No pictures but the information presented was again absolutely amazing. I did not know anything about the Magna Carta and again this opened my eyes to a turning point in human history that follows us through to today. Jack is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, exceptional in every way and worth everything you pay him. We had an excellent Mercedes van and an amazing driver who very carefully got us through the horrendous traffic in London and outlying areas. Both the driver and Jack are highly recommended.
