Hot and bright, but quite alright.
McDowell Sonoran Preserve的点评
点评：A pretty nice area of Arizona for some hiking.
The trails were mostly dirt, and while I had a pretty nice hike here with my family, it was pretty hot. There wasn't too much cloudy shade I think, and only a few tall cactuses and other information boards could provide shade for us. I walked with my hoodie over my head, like a cloak, letting the rest of the material drape along my neck and back, to get some protection from the sun. I remembered sunscreen and sunglasses, though my black shoes got stained by the sand. Fortunately, we had a good amount of food and drink to keep us awake and moving, and I got some good pictures. Some of the plant life, some of the mountains, and some of the electricity wires and stands, trailing off into the abyss; it almost felt like if I traveled that way, I'd end up near a place similar to Area 51! There were also a few bikers riding along the trails, and we met a couple other walkers out there too, chatting with them on our way. After making it back to the welcome point, I was able to rest under the shady area, and read about the history of the Preserve, as well as some wildlife that roamed around.
