Huayruro Tour Lagunas的点评
点评：We had the most amazing 6 day tour with Huayruro tours!! Jovita and Josue were such fantastic guides, very friendly and had a deep knowledge of the local culture and the reserve. They always made sure we were comfortable and well fed, even building a whole new campsite for us one night 😱 And an extra shoutout for Jovita’s cooking - every meal we had was phenomenal, and especially impressive cooking over an open fire some nights (I would recommend going with these two). Travelling through the reserve by canoe was an amazing experience, and we got so close to the animals as it is a quiet way to move through the river. We saw pink river dolphins, different types of monkeys, caymans, anacondas and a million types of birds, all of which Jovita and Josue could tell us lots of information about. I would recommend having a bit of Spanish, and if not bring a phrase book with you 😅 I only wish we had planned for an extra few days to get one day deeper into the forest. We slept comfortably every night in beds set up by Jovita and Josue with a very good mosquito net. It is rustic but I think that enriched the experience as most nights it was just us in the jungle. Just make sure to bring a lot of bug spray as we ran out 😵💫. Also Miguel the owner was very helpful, booking our travel to lagunas for us, and they even take you to and from the dock in lagunas to the accomodation, so you are looked after from start to finish. In summary, this was an amazing and unique way to explore the national reserve, and I couldn’t recommend it more! P.S. make sure to bring cash with you to lagunas (there is a cash point in Yurimaguas) to tip your guides as the price for the tour is very reasonable and they do absolutely everything for you, including rowing hard up the current in the last few days 😊
